We had a lot of fun in Design and Technology, designing, testing out tools and making our own edible houses.
First we created a design criteria and then drew an illustration of our edible house, making sure to label all parts. After that we tested out different tools to see which would be the best to use on our house. We tested a lolly stick, a knife and a pipping bag and decided the pipping bag would be the best tool as it allowed us to have more control over the icing and we could create different patterns on it.
We carefully thought about what biscuits would work best for our edible house and what sweets we should use, then we started to build. First of all we used the icing to act as a cement to hold the biscuits together. Once our house was in place we started to decorate them using different types of sweets.
We all made an incredible edible house and had lots of fun while doing so.
