Year 3 finished off their Rocks and Soils topic by making their own fossil. They started by putting clay soil into the bottom of a paper cup. Then they used a shell to make an imprint in the clay soil. Next they poured in plaster of paris to imitate the minerals fromthe water that harden in the mould to make a fossil. Yesterday, we peeled off the cup and clay to reveal our very own fossils. They came out really well.
