This afternoon, Fr. Jonathan came to talk to Years 1, 2 & 3 about the sacrament of baptism. We had great fun baptising baby Gregory. We learned all about the symbolism of the candle, the water and the white garments. Fr. Jonathan let us smell the oil he uses to annoint the baby. Some of our Year 1 children acted as Godparents. We learned that the Godparents promise to help bring up the baby as a Christian.
