On Wednesday, we said Happy Big Birthday and goodbye to Jeanette – one of our fabulous Midday Supervisors. After 18 years working at St Gregory’s, Jeanette has decided to retire. Jeanette is a much-loved and valued member of staff who goes over and above the call of duty. Over the years, she has held many a little hand in the playground, helping the younger ones into their lunch routine and sorting out playground squabbles with kindness and understanding. She heads the PTA, where she has been seen running our Christmas and Summer Fairs, having spent weeks beforehand making up sweet cones, collcting in raffle prizes and decorating cakes. During lockdown, she could often be found popping into school with essentials for members of staff, who hadn’t been able to find bread/toilet rolls/nappies outside working hours. Jeanette is someone who always puts other people before herself, she is much loved by all the children and she will be a huge loss to the school. Happy retirement, Jeanette!
