As part of National Poetry Day (and to tie in with our International School Award), Year 3 found out all about the poet, Benjamin Zephaniah, whose poetry is strongly influenced by the music and poetry of Jamaica where his family originates. We looked at Jamaica on a map and some of us talked about holidays we have had there. One of our favourite Zephaniah poems was ‘Talking Turkeys.’
