We were all very excited while waiting for the coach but it was very cold so we needed to wrap up!
When we arrived we met Tom Tommkins who is Santa’s helper. He told us we were going to be elves in training so we all decorated our own elf hat and Tom told us how to say ‘Hello’ to an elf.
Then we headed into the forest to find Santa’s Grotto!
We found him! We were all so excited to see Santa and luckily we were all on the nice list. Santa knew all of our names, how old we were and what we would like for Christmas. After Santa checked all of our names he read us a wonderful Christmas story.
After that we headed back through the forest to the lodge. Tom Tommkins showed us how to make a Rudolph the red-nose reindeer ornament and then we all got to make our own.
We then made our own bird feeders to hang in our garden.
Finally, we sat around the fire and had a delicious hot chocolate and toasted marshmallow.
We all had such a magical trip to West Boldon Lodge!
